I started playing poker in a small pub in my country with 8 of my friends, we met every Thursday at 7 pm and we used to play until 1 am. I remember we decided to go to the casino to play some tournaments but we were so bad playing poker that we decided to continue playing between us:D

I started out playing online at PS, there was a lot of freeroll tournaments by then, more than now, and my father thought me some tips about how to play. Then I started to do the courses on PS web page. Thats it :D

Well ... a few years ago I was watching ESPN is a sports channel and I see a lot of sports programs ... suddenly they began to broadcast a live poker tournament ... I watched it and it caught my attention so much so that after that day I began to research poker ... and that's where my story began in this fascinating game of poker ...!

My dad taught me to play so I could participate in occasional home games, and then I started playing online, at first for fun, but I figured I was good enough to play for money, and here I am.

My cousin taught me when I was 12 lool

I worry this post won't count towards your 75 posts needed. If you read the rules of the cardschat forum you will see what I mean.

I started playing poker just for fun so that I could socialize with friends. Eventually I learnt about freerolls and played those since I already knew how to play poker.

Back in 2006 I saw a video on the internet about a 18 years American boy Jeff Williams won the EPT grand final. I thought I can do that too. Than it began...

My friends and I found out about poker when we were 10-12 years old! Like all children, we played soccer, played Cossacks Robbers, hide and seek, and so on .. But one day we learned from older comrades about the existence of such a game as poker) And she literally captured us, we started playing candies, candy wrappers and much more .. We can say that since childhood we have learned the basics of this wonderful game!

I began playing penny ante 5 card draw and stud with my family and their friends when I was 8 .. they played religiously every Friday night ... we were pretty poor then and it was a great way to have family night, My brother and I got to keep all of our winnings, small as they were but, had to put them in my savings account at the bank : ) ...

My father even made a poker exclusive table that seated ten although it wasn't near as slick as what you see now ... good times and the start of my lifelong journey to learn how to play my favorite game .. you don't see those games often anymore and I eventually graduated to playing many different forms of poker ....the only one I really don't like are the pineapple games ......

I was raised by my Great-grandmother and we were dirt poor. No TV etc. My Great-uncle lived there also. On Saturday nights when I was 12 years old and we played poker for matchsticks. This was in 1958 and I've been learning since.

I learned poker from pokerstrategy.com. It is a good site to begin poker. Later, I mostly improve my poker by reading books, watch videos and calculating equity, odds,...

A relative died and I used it as a way of dealing with the stress and loss. Kinda worked but I don't recommend it as a cure for that sort of thing just happened to coincide and it helped me focus on something else.
