What I mean is those computer games. Some say you can play with pros which is virtual person. Some say you can learn poker through playing with virtual opponents made by computer.I sometime doubt the level of AI of these games.Do they do good truly to people who are learning poker? What do think of that?

In general they're pretty bad, and in training yourself to beat them you could actually teach yourself some pretty bad habits - it's even worse than trying to learn by playing against real people on Facebook or play money tables.

Some games (I'm looking at you, Poker Night at the Inventory) don't even get the rules of the game right...

Why play against a computer when you can play online against real people?

There are some good training software programs. They play pretty realistically and can be very hard to beat. I have seen super easy bots and very tough bots. They will never exactly mimic a given player, but they are a great way to train at little cost.

Really?

I remember reading a while back (a few years ago, probably) that there were some computer scientists who'd spent a lot of time and money and managed to get a computer to play at a reasonably high level... but only in limit hold 'em. Give it any big bet game and apparently it got a bit lost.
