I definitely prefer holdem
I really do not like Omaha because it is easier to form strong hands. Difficult is knowing when to Fold with a good hand that finish losing.

Defo Hold Em.
I have taken a liking to Omaha over the years, but nothing beats Hold em for availability.

i find holdem actually quite boring , i love omaha and hilo , the game is much more fun to play ,essentially a big pot game and hilo is great as a rake generator :)

I liked more the no limit holdem , but have had better results in Omaha H / L , so we 've caught more appreciation to Omaha H / L

people either love or hate Omaha!

for the experienced poker player, holdem boring, Omaha also adds an element of excitement and fun to the game.

in the next decade it will be the most popular Omaha!

Well i like both games but for their own reasons, Holdem its easier no doubt, once u decide to play for a big pot, its usually against one and rarely against two players, and less combinations also, and u can multi table Holdem while multi tabling Omaha its just impossible for me at the moment, when ever i play Omaha i have just music in background and one table to play Omaha, and thats it, the variations in this game takes all your concentration and focus, u have to know which hands are good starting hands, once the flop comes then the fun begins, the more draws u have the better, but the fun doesnt stop here, u have to worry also about your opponent 2, so its a lot more calculating, it demands more focus, but i like it also :D

Holdem has more freedom from the point of playing and you can do more during the game. Omaha is almost the same interesting but its rules restrict you more.

Personally I prefer Holdem. Most popular and for me the easiest to learn. All the others seem kinda too damn complicated in comparison. Maybe eventually I will branch out and learn the other variants too but for now I will focus on getting better at Holdem rather than trying million variants at the same time.

I prefer NL to omaha as I dont have that much experience. That being said Plo is definitely more fun to play and is def more complex than nl.

When I first started playing poker it was Hold'em. But over time, Omaha and 2-7 Draw like more. There are fewer people and less field can win.

too much variance on Omaha so it usually has spam effect on me...But i play Omaha when i want to stay awake :p

FLO8 is actually the lowest variance game in poker. Naturally, you have to be very tight and play for scooping and/or sure 50% of the pot.

Anyone here ever play PLO live? I'm planning on trying it soon. A nearby casino has a 1/3 table on Thursdays.

Are live PLO tables filled with regs?

I've played a few times at Rio during the series. It's such a different game from O8 that it is tough to adjust for me. Good luck if you decide/d to give it a try!

I like hold-em over Omaha. Omaha is just a sick game. I think hold-em is more of a skilled game then Omaha but takes more skill to win at Omaha then Hold em. pot limit 2-7 triple draw is the hardest to play imo, very tricky game.

I prefer 7-Card Stud. Unfortunately, it is not a very popular game anymore. To me, there is more strategy and intellect involved with 7-Stud...you have much more information available to you, plus, you really need to figure out what your opponenets are playing and how they are playing it. It's a very exciting game to me!

I get very bored with Hold'Em very fast...not sure why.

They all demand different skills. Therefore the question is moot, I had to say they are all same, but they are not. Hard to compare apples and oranges.

In the event of a hi/lo split, PLO8 cash is pretty much pointless, as the site is usually the only winner from the rake. Barring the capped rake, the less sensible duel would try to raise is other off the hand, thus reaching the capped rake almost everytime.
