Recommended is 200 bb'x so that would mean $20.00 at the 5c/10c tables and $100 at the 25c/50c tables

I used to say 200-400 BBs or 20-40 buyins, now I do the ferg and say don't buy in for more than 5% of your roll in ring. The corollary to that is the hit and run: Leave the table when your stack is over 10% of your roll.

depends on what strategy you are aproachnig. If you are playing shortstack i think you should have 30 bb (30$ at 0.05c/0.10c).
Since i like playing loose and get involved in allot pots (not the best strategy but ho well), i go in a table with maxium buy in, and i still think 25-30 is a minimum to play comfortably, but since im going in with max buy in, i need a bigger bankroll to advance trough levels.

I didn't realize it took so much to play in these games. I tried NL ring games one or twice and it didn't work out too well for me.

I usally buy in for 5 % which happens to be the max buy in for .5/.10 nl cash games at 10.00 .Just don't buy in more then 5 % of your bankroll.

I am with

Mr Mucketts I suggest 200 bbs but its not bad to have more. You have to know you skill level. And maybe start off at Cap Limit. Prevents the donks from sucking out on you for your whole BR

A problem with the 5/10 cent ring games is so many players chase right to the river because their stacks are $3-5 dollars and they just re-load. I play very cautious in these games. The double FTP points are nice if you play two games at once, but then of course you double your exposure.
