I was going to buy doyle brunsons super system, then i found out that there is a doyle brunsons super system 2 out.
Do you recommend i buy the latest version or them both?
I dont want to buy them both if they share most of the same information.
So are they both different? Or is the newest one just an update?

Thanks...

If you have Adobe Acrobat, you can download SS1 off the 'nnet for free. If you need details, PM me and I'll chase down the link.

The 2 books actually cover different games for the most part except for Hold 'Em. The first one has draw poker and stud for example whereas the 2nd one has stud hi-low.

The first one has some nice poker odds tables, but the 2nd one is more in tune with how poker is played today.

If you can only do 1 book, do SS2.

Or, if you're specifically looking for a hold'em books, look for something besides either SS book. There are many books out there specific to Hold'em that are soooooo much better than either SS book. For tourney play, HoH1, 2, and 3 are top of the line, for example.

And for low limit cash games, either Angel Largay's book or Lee Jones' book. Both are on Ebay or amazon.com or wherever you find lots of poker books.
