They have had table games at my casino for over six months and the dealers are still horrible. They never know how many people are in hands, take waaaaaaay to long to deal and never know who has the winning hand. It doesn't help that some players want to talk to them because that only confuses them more. And God help everybody if there is a side pot, you pretty much aren't going to see another hand for another five minutes.
Also, it's not just poker. They suck at blackjack too. I saw a dealer today who didn't know what the payout was on a $3.50 bet that paid 10x. They have this stupid thing that if you get dealt a twenty and bet on it you win so much depending if it's QQ or two hearts or something stupid like that. I tried to tell the dealer that the guy had won $35.00 but he thought he should only get $32.50 because he was just as dumb as the dealer.
I think the problem is that the poker dealers pool their tips so there is no incentive to deal more hands or even pay attention. I've seen dealers take a player's hand when he had already shoved all in more than once, I've had them have to re-shuffle a card that made me a full house back into the deck because they didn't give a player a chance to act. They also are completely lost if the automatic shuffler isn't done shuffling before a hand is over, they don't even consider doing a manual shuffle.
