A super random question but I was kinda curious who are the big actors that play poker. I've seen some at the main event but that never means they take it seriously.
Mimi Rogers is on the board of the World Poker Tour and she definitely takes it seriously. I agree with bigjay2007 that Meg Tilly is pretty good, I see her often on the Poker Central.
I'm thinking that James Wood is a very good poker player. I've seen him on television several times and I know he's cashed, as well as the actor whose last name is Pollock. He was The Usual Suspects.
Ya Kaplan has been playing all kinds of diff poker games forever so he is actually pretty good, but I think James Woods is probably the best. He used to play quite a bit in the LA card rooms.
I'm still shoving into AA or KK, today was KK's turn in a $1.10 R+A and with about 22 till the money I went from top 10 (around 6th) to out at 57th with AQ for a 103k pot and the chip lead. loonies were shoving crap and hitting and I was hoping for a loon to call my shove pre.
I need to learn that method acting style that's all the rage, maybe my poker will improve.
Affleck and Kaplan probably. I'm actually working with a celebrity actor right now teaching them to play for the new Molly's game movie that is going to begin shooting in a few weeks. I'm going to be playing in a hollywood home game here soon with some of the peeps mentioned in here, so I'll try and report back and let you know how they actually do play.
