Advice NEEDED !!!!!

Help! I've won a seat on a new poker show that will air on Fox Sports Network, They r flying me to hollywood this friday , I play a single table with other players that won online too. I have only played live once and my husband was with me most of the time. I am going to this event alone and could use all the advice I can get.

Don't look at your cards until it's your turn to act. Look at the other players looking at their cards instead. You may be able to pick up a tell.

If you are comfortable wearing shades indoors do it otherwise where a hat.

After you have looked at your cards fold your hands in front of your mouth. Chris Fergusen like. Good luck.

Don't talk at all, trust me, did that once while bluffing live, not a pretty sight, haha

congrats on your win hope you do well there post when it airs and as stated before facial expressions are the best tell watch them as they look at there cards hide your face and pick a spot to focus on (a chip,a card, a spot on the table) at the table dont show any emotions or expressions and good luck to you

Read as many books as you can. Play more live games before you get there. Try and get used to the chips so you can easily count your calls and raises without letting the dealer do it for you. Don't look at the camera. Make sure you know how to look at your cards without revealing them to the other players. Most of all, pay close attention to the players and not everything going on around you. Congrats and GL.

Congrats!!! What's the name of the show? I would play kinda tight at first and later pick it up. Muck. Maybe where some locs (dark sunglasses) and definatley don't drink lol. Good Luck

the name of the show is ClubWPT and it will be airing on Fox sports network ( FNS ) sometime this fall at 1 and 11 pm east coast time. thank you everyone for the advicei hope I can remember it during the game. that keep ur mouth shut will be a hard one.

Definitely a good book to read. Given the short time you have, you may not be able to do everything that's written but try to take a look at the "conceal, not reveal" chapter - even if you have a hard time picking up other people's tells, you can at least hide yours.

In person is a little more difficult then online...one thing always keep a straight face otherwise some poker players can tell by facial expressions if you have something good sometimes. Just don't be nervous and good luck.

A big tell in live poker is when the flop is laid out....if your opponents are just studying the board, odds are they have some kind of draw because they are trying to figure whats cards they need to make the hand....if someone has the flush or a full house, they know instantly that they have their hand...they don't need to study the board.

Another tell is when your in a big pot, if they breath hard when they are bluffing, their chest will shrink and expand uncontrollably...this tell has saved and made me tons of money.While your opponents are engaging each other, pay attention to see if their chest starts to expand when they are bluffing or have the nuts....someone that's has their hand tends not to breath to hard.
