Where can i find the premium hands from EP? and what are they?
...Premium hands are the stronger hands that stand a better chance of winning if you get callers. Hands like AA-JJ, AK, maybe AQs. As a general rule, when in EP you want a stronger hand to raise with since you have so many other players to act behind you.
Also, my problem when i only play premium hands i always raise like 4-5x bb and then everyone usually folds to my bet.
...This sounds like you're basing your bets on the strength of your hand. Try not to do this because it'll be easy to catch on by decent players.
and even when they call those few times i still seem to hit nothing most of the time and so this ends up losing me a good deal of money (not that i play with a lot but for what i play with it is a good amount) and when i do hit and then i follow up on the bet they always fold unless they have like the nuts that always beat me
...I really cant answer this. Maybe you're betting too much or not enough. Can you post a hand history for better analysis?
Above. From your OP, it sounds like you might be limping into much and trying to see hands with suited cards. I don't get your strategy in limping in with a face/8+? What are you trying to do here by limping in with these hands? The problem with limping with suited cards, though it isn't wrong, is that you aren't going have the
odds to flop a flush/flush draw that often to make this play profitable. Especially if you're constantly limping into a pot in EP. In late position, if there are many limpers, then limping in with suited cards might be ok..but then it would depend on your hand strength. You might be getting odds, but then limping in with something like 10/4 suited could get you into a lot of trouble.
So far, from what I've read, these are your problems:
-Hand range is way too wide for Early and Mid position. Tighten this up a bit. Its ok for LP since you should be playing position more than hand strength. However, if you're going to take the role of aggressive player, limping in isn't the way to do it with these hands...
-You're limping into often and possibly too often with very weak hands that get you into a lot of trouble.
-You might be overly aggressive and try to bluff a lot players. This is really easy to pick up on, so try varying your bluffs and don't do them as often. As soon as you think your opponents have picked up on your style, switch it up and start valuing betting your strong hands for example.
