Not trying to start something and dont know anything about your content etc but on the point you raise about cycling through players.
Cycling through players is not a bad thing, people end up going broke for a variety of reason but when you use players based on current results you are going to end up with more modern thought processes. Surely you can recognise that the game changes with time and if you continue to use the same coaches youve had from the beginning there is a risk that the content becomes stale and doesnt keep up with the times.
Well, you raise an interesting point and maybe an interesting discussion. What has changed about the game in the last 3 years that isn't true today... last 5 years? last 10?
I think it depends on your starting point, and this is where the misnomer and false meme's start penetrating the poker market. If you were a player that crushed 10 years ago, nothing has really changed about the game. If you were an average or losing player back then, then a lot has changed.
3-betting, and 4-betting, understanding players ranges, balancing, etc... if you crushed back in the day, you understood all of that. What's changed is more of the regulars have training sites and books and everything explaining this to everyone. So the only thing that's changed is there's less fish at the table, and more knowledgeable regs.
But I do also hold that sustainability in a field translates to better teaching ability, generally speaking. A lot of training sites just grab currently hot players, without really listening to how they are thinking and approaching the game long term. The good regs adjust to their games (and I mean good mid and high stakes players), and then inevitably start crushing them once their hot run ends. I'm telling you in all seriousness, it accounts for a lot of the content. I've viewed it, I know these guys.
There's some good content out there on a lot of training sites, the problem is you have to REALLY weed through it because the meme is, you need constant new content, because the game is changing all the time. So they pump out new trash every day, and make it more difficult to find the gems.
I get what you're saying though, I completely do. I just respectfully disagree. I'd rather have 5 pieces of really good proven content, than 150 pieces of trash.
