I just cant get a hold on the ring game. Im use to doing the tournament play and the ring game is just diffrent in my head somehow but i cant figure out why. The real money and the bet compared to tournament chips is off. Any tips on converting to ring games if you have only played tourney poker? Thanks guys.

Start from the bottom (2NL-5NL) and work your way up cheaply? 2NL is pretty easy if you don't spew.

Yeah that's what i played in some, only down about a dollar in them. Im thinking about getting back in. I just need to practice with them alot more then the few hands i have actually played.

Maybe just go on like Youtube and type in "poker micro cash game strategy" or something along those lines. Of course, only watch ones with good reviews and whatnot.

If you're moving from tournament to cash, you're going to have to learn how to play poker I'm afraid, there are no shortcuts! :D

Just read basic cash strat articles. For 2nl-5nl just play basic ABC poker and value town people. You will win once you get used to a different format!
just study and time

Just convert all bets to rough percentages of chip stack and pot and use that as a guideline on amounts to bet.

I was in the same boat. I only played tourneys, and once I move to cash I was taking a beating. Like the guys that posted above, start at the lowest level. Get a grip on the game there, you aren't going to be losing a lot of money for mistakes being made. And really, really, stick to abc poker. People call down with everything. So make sure you have the nuts and just value bet your winning hands. Also, be patient! Good luck!
