If i bet aq on flop on ac9cth with 100bb, kd on the turn i bet and he 3 bets big

Pretty much any cash game book/article is written in the context of deep stack play unless otherwise noted. The benefit of cash games over tournaments is that you have the ability to ALWAYS have up to 100bb. Most tournaments nowadays are faster and only have a couple blind early levels that involve true deep stack play.

Playing with 100bb is "true" poker, IMO, because you can focus on hand reading and other important aspects of the game without having to worry about the size of your stack. There are situations where you need to start looking at your chips/the pot/bet sizes, but these usually occur in huge hands where the pot is huge and a reasonable bet requires a large portion of your stack.

50-70bb is not deep. 100BB is standard in cash games and against most villains (except the fish and maniacs) going all the way with one pair hands postflop is not a good idea. Generally I wont put my whole stack in with less than top 2 pair. When deepstacked (200bb+) you will generally (I keep saying generally because everything is situation dependent) need stronger hands at showdown, like sets and above. If you have a flush you really want the nut flush, and if you have a flush and the board is paired it's probably not a good idea to go all the way. In deepstacked games starting hands with good implied odds, like suited connectors and medium PPs, increase in value whereas hands like AQo or KQo decrease in value. :slug:
