As a new member to this site and new to poker in general I was hoping to get some information on some good live cash game casinos.

In my short time playing $1-2 nlhe, I have learned the most important lesson: it isn’t how good you are , it is how bad are the other players at your table.

What are you favorites to build your bankrolls with soft games, what are the best times, and days to hit them?

I have only played in two:

Delaware racetrack and casino:
- people come in with money to gamble on the weekends and late nights.
- nitty as FUC during the day before 7pm
- many regs, but for some reason they will all sit together lol, so a simple table switch should do the trick

- I feel that most of the refs are solid players based off my experience
- mostly tournament players, like 5 to 1

Hollywood Casino in Perryville, Md:
- only played here once on a Sunday evening, I feel like Sunday’s are bad in general so I’m not going to judge it too much off this one trip
- players are more competent than i expected. Not nitty at all, just seem smart. Seem to know odds and hand values
- people had money here too, not scared money either
- this place might be interesting ona Friday night but don’t think you are going to see a bunch of loose agroo people getting drunk and throwing their chips at you either

Sugar house casino Philadelphia:
- looking for information on this place once my home casino in Delaware stated the games are great for your wallet!
- anyone play here that could give some information?

I play regularly at MD Live at the Arundel Mills mall. The dealers are great and the promotions are usually pretty good....

There is no ore 1/2 there, only 1/3. I think it is a great place to play but be prepared to put some money in. It is rare that pots are below $40-$50. Most preflop raises are around $17. And the crazy part is that NO ONE ever folds anymore. If you have a big hand you better represent it and hope for a call. Raising to $20 with AA will still usually get 1-2 callers. Depending on the table you might 2 callers a raise to $60 and three callers from that. I wouldn't say its always 'loose' just so many people want to see a flop there.

Yeah I have read that MD Live is a good place to play. So many people there have money to light on fire. I think DC is either the 2nd or 3rd wealthiest county in the USA.

I play tournaments occasionally at de park as I live few mins away. I agree with your assessment. Lots of tournament players and reg cash players are a little nitty. If you want to play a loose game the 5/10 plo table can get crazy. Too rich for me but I would like to play it. The regs at that table got management to put up a $550 buy-in plo champion tournament. No gtd.

I just played a bounty tournament last night and reminded me of thing I like least playing there. I only play occasionally and am looking to go deep and make a little. I'd rather take a shot than worry about min cash. Well this tournament is usually not a big field. Only 30 last night. We get to final table, only 3 make money, and someone immediately suggests taking bounty chip off table. Ugh. Do I be bad guy and say not interested. So no we take our 25 and pocket it. Now we play for 30 mins. Down to 8. And someone suggests chopping. Ugh again. Guess I should just let everyone be upset with me and say no. I mean it makes sense for regs who just want to get pts for promos and walk away with couple bucks but I just want to play. Anyway. That is how just about all tournaments go there. So you need to decide if you want to alienate table or just be prepared not to finish game.

Yes, this seems about right at Delaware casino. All the tournament players are regs. Most play multiple times a week. Very close group, so they don’t mind chopping with each other.

I only played a few tournaments there. I’m almost exclusively live cash but they seem nice to play with.

PLO

yeah the plo table is a little too rich for me lol.

I wish they had a 2-5 and 1-3 table running full time so that I don’t have to play against above average players all the time lol
