considering the game Dole played
He is overall a winning player.
therefore he won by skill, and his 10 bracelets proves it is his skill to make him win that much.

therefore, Fate, Luck only works on small sample of games.
but long term, I have heard a 100K or 10K hour theory, by doing or repeating the same thing like 10K hours, the true results would show up.

regarding the results would first check the sample size.
large sample size = Skill
Small sample size = Variance = luck or fate.

Doyle Brunson is a poker legend and that is different kind of skill and luck.
you need a lot of skill and luck to became winning player but that is not enough to become a legend because for that level you need something more, call it fate or whatever that is something special and you cant learn it

Skill. I hate when people fail to see that the "luck effect" in poker has far less of an impact on the game than they think it does and that when it's effects do show up, they're far shorter lived than most seem to think.

If you're able to comprehend deeper levels of poker and forethink decisions streets ahead, luck factor becomes weaker and all you need is skill.

donks = luck
pros = luck + skill
--------------------------
pros - donks = skill

Poker does not entirely depend on just luck or just skill. Skill is more important than luck. The cards that you are dealt with are dependent on luck, but how you strategise your game and play the hands is dependent on your skill. Luck might only get you so far but skill will get you further; both are necessary for playing poker. I'd say it was 70% skill and 30% luck.

I need your opinion on this one guys.What do you guys think,is Poker a game that depend entirely on lucks or skill?And what are the percentages that we are looking at?

Bit of a silly question to ask on a poker forum... But skill ofc.

Luck is part of any game or sport, but that does not detract from the skill level of the players. Sill and experience will come out on top most of the time, but occasionally luck will win.

If you talk about poker than it is mostly luck dependable game. You don't need to be skilled in playing this as no skill works here. If you are lucky, then definitely you will get success. You can just play and enjoy poker.

In a way you are right, you can enjoy poker no matter how skilled you are and with a lot of luck you can also win a lot of hands. But I don't believe that luck can bring you, raise and protect your bankroll. That's the main reason that you need skills and find your level in the world of poker. Chess is in my opinion the only non luck play in the world.

According to me playing poker is a luck game. I know there is nothing like luck who helps you to win games without skill. But luck gives you confidence to win the game. Skill is more important than luck, but luck also matters.

100% of everyone giving percentages to measure the amount of luck in poker don't realize that poker is not measured by a single event, or any other short term measure. Poker is a game you beat (or don't) long term, how a single hand plays out, a turn of a single card, has no bearing on the skill required to be successful long term.

I think that POKER is a game with both factors cause it depends on Skill and work but also luck or not
However, if u wanna be a good player u need to spent much time studying and playing :D
