Summer Poker Schedules: Aria Poker Classic Promises Large Fields, Big Pay Outs for Reasonable Buy-Ins

The Aria Poker Classic for 2022 adds a nice set of tournaments to the already massive schedule of events designed to coincide with the World Series of Poker. The new location of the WSOP, held at Bally’s this year, will bring thousands of players much closer to the Aria than in years past and, as a result, we expect bigger fields for these events than we have seen in previous years.

The Aria Poker Room will be a very popular spot in Vegas this summer.

The schedule is mostly $400 No-Limit Hold’em events, but there are a few $600 events and a number of Pot-Limit Omaha events along with multiple events for seniors and a ladies event. A mystery bounty is also nice to see as they have grown in popularity over the past few years.

With Paul Campbell, winner of Tournament Director of the Year, in charge, we know the tournaments will run smoothly and the staff will be well trained. A recent tweet also claims that they will have more space and more tables this year, which should cut down on the possibility of long lines for alternates, though we still expect to see alternates on big weekends like when the WSOP has a small buy-in event or around the Main Event.

We expect most of Aria’s events to far surpass their guarantees, and fields of 200-300 runners will be typical on weekends. The $1M guarantee event should draw a field of the best and brightest in the poker world and generate a massive prize pool.

Structures look solid, as we would expect from Campbell and his staff, with big starting stacks and reasonable level lengths. Structure sheets haven’t been released as of this writing, but they should follow typical Aria structures.

The concentration of players on the Strip should make for a wild summer in 2022, and there’s a real possibility of attracting the largest fields the city has ever seen.
