While several have come close in recent years, only one woman (Barbara Enright in 1995) has ever made the final table of the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas, and none have ever won it.

Why do you think this is?

And how many % of women starts in wsop in general? There you can have an answer. Besides, women tend to not taking risk and without risking and luck, its almost impossible to get to final table.

Percentages alone don't account for it, as three ladies have been just one player away from making the WSOP Main Event final table:

Susie Isaacs finished 10th in the 1998 WSOP Main Event
Annie Duke finished 10th in 2000
Gaelle Baumann finished in 10th place in 2012

And many others have come close, such as Elisabeth Hille, who was knocked out in 11th place in 2010.

If you see the percentage of women participating in WSOP compared with men it will become clear. Reaching final table in WSOP is very rare chance even if you are good player due to the immense field and the freezeout nature of this tournament.

I think that big victories of girls are waiting for us in the future. Obviously, the popularity of poker among women is only growing and that's great.
