Luck of the cards, I'm assuming. Bots are machines so they can't learn a player's style of play, they simply use the cards they have and through calculations decide what move to make.

It depends of type of bot LOL, there are bots very smarts, you must to find at web because maybe already there are some experimetn with poker bots playing a Sit & Go or even a MMT. :hahaha::hahaha::hahaha:

Well i think some people may know more than they want to let on and thats understandable. I assume all bots arent created equal because of age or programming style or maybe ‘ place of manufacture ‘ but these are just assumptions.

I think in a month all the bots will be back to the various sites but will be terminator 2. Cheaters are always 1 step ahead of enforcement and when money is involved they are 3 steps ahead.

A cpl nights ago I played a sit n go around 11pm my time then went to bed. I played another at about 8am and saw a brit and a Ukr player from the same game. Certainly could have been on the same schedule as me but it got me thinkin about bots. Maybe they thought I was a bot ha.

I think the value of bots is exaggerated. More important is the casino software and knowledge of the algorithm. But all this is important for online poker. As in live casino, the dealer is an important link.

I"ve been playing poker a long time and online for about 13 years and I have never been able to tell that I might have been playing with a bot how does one tell. :eek2:

Im not really sure Frank. Some say stupid things like ‘ they dont reply to chat ‘ haha.

Others say bet timing, bet size are always identical. I think the most common tell is that they are on every table for longer than humanly possible sessions. None of those are irrefutable proof in my opinion.

They arent affecting my life, i dont play enough or at high enough stakes for me to care, im just curious.

When we talk about bots we start "bot's question" thread namely question about their existence. Ok I can say cheaters exist => bots exist.

I am not agree that bots can't use game style - no, it's real but useless when you can calculate optimal solution every time. I think it will be very long SnG and we know very long SnG = limits are growing and it will become all-in SnG But it's fun I like this idea!

Going to take a guess, but im going to say that the site would win. Unless of course all the bots are created by the site.

For the bot to play optimally it would have to make correct assumptions about the humans range, bet size, etc. So it might be that a human trying to play optimally would lose against a bot because the bot's assumptions would be right, but one that was totally crazy and unpredictable might have a chance

there is no winner in my eyes because as long as these things exist then its robbery of innocent players that play with hard earned cash and those players will eventually stop playing the site because of this reason.... iv always thought you cannot trust to get a fair game in anything that has to much human involvement
an case and point of poker bots just proves this....even still i play poker because i enjoy the game i do not however expect to be robbed by A.I machines playing poker for you
