This week I have played 7 $2.50 180 player tournaments on poker stars. My finishing positions are.
10th
57th
1st
26th
157 th
120 th
95th

Do I just keep playing these $2.50 tourneys to get a better picture on my playing statistics.

Depends on your bank roll. But based on this information yeah Id want to win a few more before i moved up stakes.

If you’re talking about moving up focus on building your bankroll. If you want to find out where you are as a player you should be logging your hands and find mistakes or ways to get more value. Being results driven don’t always represent skill level

you can continue to play such tournaments and try to get into prize pools more and get normal results, the main thing is that you do not lose a lot and get more profit in prizes, I wish you good luck in future tournaments so that you can take more first places

I'm joining the 180 people tournaments and always getting to the final table super short stacked. Highest place I've ever gotten is 3rd

Seems like you have very good results in your sample size. I would keep at it. Now you can focus on getting top 3 more often where all the money is.

Build until your bankroll can buy in 50x at the next level of competition. At least 50x. This will give you a secure bankroll to build from and less pressure on busting, so you can play your Agame. Good luck.

7 total games is not much to go on. I would not consider moving up stakes until I played at least 200 game and even then you may be only doing good or bad based on variance. Personally if I were bank rolled to play $2.50 I would stay there until I was properly rolled for the next level before making the change.
