Harrington on Hold 'em is outdated. But its best for newcomer to poker. Mathew Janda is more modern.

Harrington on holdem are good books and even though they are old, you can learn alot from them.

Recent books I'd recommend Jonathan Little Books

I just saw the same post from some1 else with the same question, where i will give the same answer, u don't kneed books, what ever u will read in them is outdated, those strategies dont work anymore, there is always a counter reaction to those plays and very good reaction i might add :D so what i would do instead is watch poker players on twich u will learn a lot from them, and some of the strategy they are applying to the game is current. plus they explain their actions b4 doing it, so u can learn the reasoning behind a certain hand :D

books are a great foundation, even those considered "outdated" like the original HoH (harington) books can still provide a great foundation for mtt and cash games (since he has books on both).

He also released a new book within the last two years that I have heard is great (I actually own it but haven't read it yet, since was trying to focus on some cash game books I have instead).

Thank you guys for help.

Feels like everyone already read that Harrington book.

Now I'm reading "Kill Phil" and really like it.

I'd also vouch for Harrington on Hold'em. It's the example scenarios that really helped me pick up what I should be thinking about at the table

Even if Harrington on holdem is outdated as said by others it still a good book. For starting to play or beginners its a great book for them. I used that book when I'm still starting to learn poker.
