Speculative hands?
I play lots of SNG's. I often will call a flop bet with what I call a speculative hand. That is an open ended straight or flush draws, and low pair with high kicker. My thinking is that the flop bet will be less than turn. And if I hit then I can reraise the turn or flat call and raise the river.
Should i be betting the flop with these speculative hands if no one bets, or just try to take the freeride.

Yikes. If they are cheap (small % of your stack) and you think you can stack the bettor if you hit. I generally want multiple opponents when I'm drawing to a nut straight or flush to help make it worth my risk. I'm more a fan of that then trying to make something out of bottom pair.

Seems a little risky because some players will check with the intention of check raising so if you can identify the right players to use this strategy against I don't see why it wouldn't work.
