In the later MTT stages and especially with a shorter stack, stalling is a strategy designed to protect your stack in relation with the big and increasing blinds, because by slowing your table in relation to the other tables you are essentially posting less blinds. The tournament overall doesn't take much longer unless there is one or more stallers at every table, or at the majority of them, which is seldom the case.
If you played slower too, the staller would benefit and survive even longer with his short stack, but did it ever happen to you to be asked by a staller to play slower yourself for his benefit? I'm pretty sure that never happened, the stallers have the decency to do what benefits them and let other players play according to their strategy.
So when you complained at the table and later even asked ACR to take action against those stallers, it's you who was selfish and out of line in both situations, asking other players to act against their own best interest in order to satisfy your own lack of patience.

The time bank is the personal time of each player and only the player decides how to use this time.
