Good day to you all. I have just completed a tournament, not more than an hour ago on Intertops Poker. I made the final table for the Workout Routine $250 guaranteed tournament. The buy-in was $8.80.

There are four players left - I'm on the big blind and I have 114,324 chips left. The blinds are at 2000 / 4000 / and the ante is 400. To finish the description of the hand, I have AJo - there's a call for 4000. The cut off position then calls 4000 - small blind calls and I check.

Now, you can see the rest of the hand on the hand converter.

As you can see as the hand played out, it was a very difficult decision for me. Normally and in cases like that, I might have called but I decided to fold. The results as to what happened afterward, I will put in another thread. But, right now I would like to know, do you think I made the correct decision? and in the future what could I do better with this hand in this situation?

I would still have flod but the mistake you made is to raise high I would have made a smaller bet since he raised your bet giving value to his hand that most likely would have had an AK or AQ since having 9 would have ifo with everything or so I think

I don't like playing the odds, I just go by gut feeling. I feel that's the best thing to do, it most always screws me playing the odds, every time I have a straight draw, and a flush draw, the board pairs on me giving someone else the full house. but at a casino I may play the odds. but I never do online, there is just way to many suck outs online. not to mention how the boards pair 7 or 8 times out of ten. did you notice that while you were playing at betonline? it seems to be like that everywhere with online poker any more, ever since PLO really took off. any way, good job making the money, I wish you luck..Peace
