It plays just like No Limit Hold'em except that at the start of the hand everybody pays an Unfold ante which creates a side pot. Then when the the flop is reached, players who have previously folded their hands have the option to 'unfold' meaning betting they can make a single bet the size of the Unfold pot if they think the hand they folded would have been strong on this flop. The regular hand plays out and is awarded to the usual winner, with the Unfold side pot being awarded afterwards. If the regular hand is won before the river, the board will run out for the Unfold pot. The Unfold antes will be refunded to everyone at the table if the main pot is won preflop, less than two players fold preflop or no players choose to play the Unfold pot. What do you think of this game?

I'm all for any variation of poker as long as it doesn't involve wild cards. It seems interesting enough, I think I would try it, but don't have any idea if I would like it or not.

the programmers of pokerstars if they take out novelties, this is another novelty of game serious question to try but and to comment the experience that leaves, what if I do not like is to play with some wild that complicates but the game.

Think its an awful idea. Pokerstars are making the game ridiculously gimmicky. It can be very popular and appealing to the casual player which is great but these are the same players who have no concept of rake and have no clue that actually in the long term even if they do well, rake by stars is going to screw them over

Sounds interesting....but if I fold a winner...then unfold after flop...I kill anyones hand who was better and after that of course...others would fold then and lose what they first bet...I would have to try it to see how it is...but sounds like you should almost always fold then unfold after flop then lol

I do not like this new format, I think increasingly are creating new formats, which depends more luck than skill, such as spin and go, power, etc, I prefer the traditional game.

Wow, this will add a whole new level to cash games. This could be a good opportunity to pick up the side pot if you are faced with a big raise and want to take a shot with your connectors, small pairs, etc. I mostly play tournaments but will probably check this out when PokerStars comes to PA later this year or early next year if it is available at the local level. Probably something you will need to play for a bit to get comfortable with this new format. Miss all the wild games on Stars. Can't wait for online poker in PA!!! So far 9 casinos have ponied up the $10 Million so it is coming!

I have not tried this and it sounds interesting but i really sounds like a gimmick. I don't think I would want to try this version of the game to be honest.

I do not like it, I like classic poker, with no return of players who have folded

This summer is so hot. Sometimes I suspect that in the office of programmers from PokerStars there are no air conditioners for cooling.

The rules of unfold holdem
At the start of each hand, each player pays the unfold ant. These ants make up the unfold pot.

Subsequently, the party continues according to the usual texas holdem rules. However, any player who has flopped before the flop will have an opportunity to take back the thrown card with the "unfold" action after the flop is handed. To do this, you need to make the unfold bet that is equal to the amount of unfold pot. Payment of the unfolding is decided by the players simultaneously, so all eligible players decide at the same time whether they are playing for the unfold pot and at the end of the time they decide to choose who has chosen that option.Players who have unfolded bet will not be able to make any further bets after that. The rest of the stake is played by players in the main pot and the unfold players are just observers. The unfold pot is won by the unfold players who have the strongest five-card hand after the river is handed. If the main pot is found before the entire table is handed down, all the remaining cards are dealt so that the winner of the unfold pot can be determined. Good luck for everyone
