Levels changing every 5 minutes is crazy lol, which is pretty average for micro tournaments tbh .. the only online tournament with the closest blind structure to the W.S.O.P. Main Event which from memory changes it's blinds every 120 minutes, is a $1,000 buy in event which has blinds changing every 55 minutes.... apart from that, most$1 -$4 buy in tournaments have their blinds being changing up anywhere between 3 minutes lol and 15 minutes .. which is a joke in it's self.

It's annoying trying to play poker against sorta fella's, they go all in with K9 cos after all the idea of patience is not good ... with most of their tournament if you don't invest money early your ****ed .. blinds will have you being left not in good shape.

Anybody seen any $1 -$4 tournaments with blind structures of +12 minutes?

yea there's plenty on stars snd other networks but what i wanna say the diference between online and live poker are online you play more hands than live and thats why blinds are so small. I see ur style is tight but u must adjust your play accordingly to the time when the blind rizes. If u dont do that the blinds and ante will eat u.

yea I hate tournaments with 10 minute+ blind levels. You end up playing 4-6 hours of poker just to lose to a coin flip. F*ck that just get a regular turbo or Turbo KO are fun. Go play cash game.

I think 55+ minutes is too long for an online tournament. Live is different as you have plenty of people to talk to, get up and walk around without missing a hand, as said before there are less hands played so you get the most orbits.

On pokerstars the lowest buy-in tournaments are turbo and hyper turbo, increasing every few minutes. Moving up the buy-in to normal tournaments has blinds of 15 minutes

Playing 4-6 hours only to loose to a coin flip is about right, totally agree.

3-6 minutes is too fast. 10-12 minutes is just about perfect. I don't know if I have ever played anything that is 15 minutes plus. I would probably like it though. Bottom line is that you need to adjust to the tournament structure and profit from it but I just find that on average I make deeper runs in the slower structures.

This. Was playing the ACR $20,000 guarantee couldn't win K8s vs 66 and 1010 vs AJ, then I just tilted and called off my stack with A10o vs AKs

I think the shorter levels help to attract for casual players. If you play an MTT at a casino you accept that’s your whole day taken up but online a lot of players dip in and out.

That's a mental game problem. Those things happen. If you are interested in winning a lot in MTT, you really ought to be playing longer levels to accentuate your edge against opponents. Good play does take some time, but too much time is not an excuse for playing poorly.

The structures of “Turbo” and “Hyper-Turbo” tourneys might suggest that such tournaments reward luck more than skill, since the format demands more preflop all-ins and thus more dependence on being dealt strong starting hands. But the fact is they also tend to reward the same kinds of skills regular, slower tournaments do.
