Multi-table tournament fairness

Hi guys I have an issue I would love some opinions on. Not too long ago I was playing in a 10 dollar tuornament on pacific poker. Top 20 paid I finished 24th. Ok here is where it gets complicated. My chips stack was just under 2 1/2 times the big blind. I am in the big blind during this hand a few players move to my table. I get raised and fold this hand. The very next hand I was in the big blind again! Rag hand get raised and fold well next hand small blind all in I lose and get eliminated 4 spots from placing. I requested a refund from Pacific because I thought it totally unreasonable for me to not have moved and to be in the big blind twice at such a critical time of the tourney. Of course they told me no. I actually would like my fellow online poker players opinions as to if I was justified in wanting a refund. Thanks Don

With such a low stack you were kinda screwed anyway... however I do agree with you that the big blind twice was a bit harsh. But it's a way of the tournaments when the move people around, you just have to live with it.

if you were at the same table and others were moved too you then it was a bit harsh to get the BB twice

I have been moved from one table onto another where i got the bb twice, thats a bit different, though I have never encounted the situation you described if you were at the same table, of course you should have been making moves before hand to try and get your stack larger anyway ;]

still guess I will stay away from pacific poker

I agree with Grumble, I've been moved in a tourney where I was BB then switched tables and was again BB that you cannot help. I don't think you're totally wrong for asking for a refund it does seem a bit unfair to have been BB at the same table twice like another person says sometimes it just seems a way to speed up the tourney. Which is unfair to some but fair to the others that are going to make it to the end. I've been in like 5th place outta 2500 ppl before on Ulitametbet and noticed that the small stacks almost never caught anything and felt like they were getting the shaft but it helped speed up the process. Goodluck with it though, I hope you can get it worked out.

Yeah I understand the arguement that player to player I should have not been in that position but I was. I agree that if you move tables you have to accept that there will be times when you will be in the blinds within a couple hands, even if at the other tables you were just in them. I just found it totally unacceptable that the people running the game would allow a player to be put in back to back big blinds when that player didn't move. Especially at such a critical time of a tourney. But anyway yeah it has been worked out Pacific took there normal 3 days to respond to my emails gave me the arguement that while it hurt me this time it might help me another. I found that arguement totally idiotic, blinds change and so does the amount I pay to play tournaments. IDIOTS! So i cleaned out my account which of course took another 5 days! The ONLY good thing about Pacific is the loose limit players you really can make alot of money at their ring tables. Their customer service is horrible and to take 5 days to cash out to neteller is totally inexcusable in my opinion.

I agree with Grumble too, really sorry for the experience though. I don't play pacific not for something like that though, just other sites I prefer. I have also heard similiar complaints about pacific, look around cardschat and see if theres another site that may suit you better, and try Noble for sure.=-)

Yeah I have found a few that I like. All have good and bad points I play alot of sit and gos, Absolute seems a good choice for those. royal vegas is where I play the multi-table tournaments. Just started on Noble and the only real traffic I found was at the ring games, which seemed quite juicy!

On pokersstars it had such a situation. The stack was fine and bb bb transplanted back on. Sometimes for quite a long time just tossed off the table on the table and could not play the hand. Things happen.

Is it really nessesary to revive a 14 year old thread? Maybe we could just let these rest and post in the recent ones? The people, who originally posted in this thread, are probably long gone, and will not read your reply anyway.
