Kinda depends on your opponents and how there playing hands, if I know some aggressive players have already called into the pot, I'll reraise as you anticipate them making the call anyway right, then check and let them get into you, sometimes u can raise to much and lose them. Let them bet what there gonna call if you feel you can get more from them on a later street make a big reraise in the turn or river.

Preflop does have to do raise with hands like AA, KK and QQ it has to defend his pair of this kind of situation, and take care postflop not to get caught by smaller pairs or flush and straits.
