Final table hand, for tournament winner was both players "All in" with pairs in each hand.
My opponent had 99.
I had AA.
I was feeling better knowing my pair was highest.
The flop revealed the remaining two nines and another useless card I don't recall.
My heart sank.
There was a huge amount of money at stake, and 2nd place was the best I could do, I resolved in utter dismay.
The next card just happened to be an Ace, giving me a full house on Aces; while my opponent, had four of a kind.
The final card flipped.....giving me the only other Ace in the deck; and I think, or believe at least, that I was in more shock than my opponent, to realize I was not the runner up in this cash tournament, I'd just won it, with four Aces.
I still wonder about that hand, and the odds. Surely the odds would have been absolutely phenomenal. True story, on pokerstars online poker. There may even be a video of that game with Pokerstars themselves as they record the games.

i can win at casinos ..both tourments and limit poker ...
i dont have any reading skillls what so ever i play purely by maths
seeing as online poker is i say is...purely a maths game u wud think id win more or at least some where close ...but no i loose time after time....i call go all in ...im least 50 percent ahead ....but i loose 70 percent of the time
makes no sense to me ....i bluff at times sure ....i go all in some times holding kk against one player i only expect to win 2 in 3 times ...im realistic......

u kk him j 8 suited.......on the flop if i see one of his suit...i know gonna lose about 80 percent of the time....turn river same suit good bye stack
another one if you flop 2 pair.....go all in u seem to lose 60 70 percent of the time
i feel as the games rigged ...hey ive had 7777 beat by 10 10 10 10 on the river in live at the casiono game...sure it happens but it happens so few times its happend to me once in 20 years
he hit his 10 on the river....odds well 44 ish to one
im no maths expert but i know that example i was plain unlucky .
on 888 its just stupid i add aa once went all in....2 callers both had kk ...i lost
its not that this crap happens its that it happens to often......and i dont mean to many times in a hour ,,,,i mean to many times per hands played

I tend to agree with your analysis "slimeylimey". I too have seen so many instances of poor hands beating power hands, just too often and yes I have been on both sides of the 'Variance'. the only thing to keep from the rigging winning is the players choice to play or fold and that is almost something the logarithms cant control...except when they give you AA and of course you are playing....and losing
