I love my favorite quote: "What will happen will happen"
18.19% and 27.53% meaning the 'Probability' for you to lose the hand but the 'Possibility' is 100% unless villain is drawing dead, then the chances of you losing in almost nil. Why 'almost nil'? Because there's still chances for a miss dealt hand or human error with either player or the dealer to make mistake for the hand to be called dead.

So, that is Variance, not Luck.
If there's no variance involved in poker, it wouldn't be that exciting and attract recreational player and Donkeys to keep funding the Pro player's living.

You played correct, it's luck for villain, don't sweat. You should be playing based on correct decisions, which you did. We need to be able to handle variance, it's part of the game. Think on the long run!

That's what they write the percentage of probability near the player. With a long-term game, everything pays off.

I don’t know your hand draw line, maybe you played pre-flop limp calling and it gives your opponent a cheap or free get out, with jj okay, but what did you do on the flop with J7o?

It was first 10 minutes of tournament, BB 60 and I was on SB, two limps - from UTG+1 and MP2 like slowplay and BB move after me - so I decided to call only. And, as I saw in same CC PS freerolls before, 3BB raise in very beginning of tournament easy called by loose players with middle and bad hands,so to realise fold equity I must bet from 1/3 to 1/2 stack and for that move my J7o was too bad.

a lot depends on the gameplay of a player, in my situation if and in a start of a tournament would already play with J, 7 off.

in the short term, there is a lot of luck involved. just play your game and dont bother too much about the outcome is probably the best advice i can give you. just remember: everything can happen in poker. greetings.

Poker is a mixture of both. It is skill until your luck runs out.

Hello to all! :D I had a goal to get to the final table in CardsChat $ 100 Daily Freeroll. Today, after 4 hours of the game, my goal has been achieved. Even more I took first place :star: As there was a theme (Horoscope and poker). So probably I will refer STARS

I think in both cases there was luck. Both times you had a stronger hand, so you did everything right, and you were just out of luck. It would also be interesting to see what bets were made pre-flop and what bets were made on the flop. Skillful players make a pass on K3.

Such bets will not bring anything good. People close their eyes and cross their fingers.

I have always thought that it is part skill and part luck, in this case it was more luck for the villain, these things happen a lot both for and against, you can play with a lot of skill but the opponent can simply play let's say without skill or just say that following his instinct and luck is his side

It's hard to say, because we don't know how the hand went. In the second case, it seems like luck, since the villain has a bad hand.

Luck is stronger then skill but luck is not stable and if you are a master who smiles luck is happiness
