For those that don’t play on pokerstars I will give a brief summary of the game type:
Players enter a 3 man sit and go where the blinds go up every 5 hands. The twist is that you have a second hand of “powerup” cards. These can be played to alter the board, draw extra cards, peek at your opponents cards etc. You have a second set of points that you can use to play powerup cards. Each turn you draw a powerup card and gain 2 points for casting power ups.
With all that being said the first comparison that comes to mind is Spin and Gos. Personally I think that a player can influence more skill on the outcome of the game in a Powerup, since resource management increases the skill cap.
I find this game a refreshing break from typical poker because I have a background in games like MTG and Hearthstone and I feel like I can use those skills with a poker crossover.
What do you all think?
