I don't think you're a bad player but maybe you've become a bit impatient. I know this all too well and have had longer periods where I only lost. I might have doubted my poker skills in the past, but now I don't. You can't do anything if you're just not lucky, but the good thing is that happiness comes back again. It is important that you are sure that you could not have done anything else and you are convinced by your poker game that it is right. When I'm in such a phase I mainly play freerols and have phases like this very often lol. Sometimes I tell friends that pokerstars hate me but that's just kidding. It's a game where you can win or lose and you have to be able to accept both.

I don't think you should focus on how many times u get ITM cause you will only be playing for min cash each time and play too safe just to make it ItM and you can't go deep afterwards with a very limited stack I'd take 2 deep runs over 10 ITM.

Sample too small to say anything. Play a minimum of 1,000 tournaments. Besides, ITM doesn't mean much at MTT. ROI is more important.

You might want to go back to the hands where you lost most of your chips and see for yourself.

Maybe you must change game type and experiment and to other kinds, or play different kinds together!

Statistically, this seems to imply a major flaw in your game (small sample, but very concerning). You are probably playing way too aggressive/loose in the early/mid stages of the MTT.

The aim for ITM% should be between 20 - 30% (for starters), and you are currently at 2.8%.

I'm going to assume you are playing large field MTTs, and also most likely registering toward the beginning of registration?

Try playing some smaller fields and just simply focus on cashing. Cash first, and then take the chances for a big stack. See if you can get another 10 cashes in much less games (maybe 40 - 50).

You could even go "extreme" for a little bit, and simply make it a goal of just cashing. This way you will get a better idea of the balance you are looking for in the long run.

The best MTT players I have found have an ITM% and ROI% around 30%. If you can cash 1/3 MTTs you play, and achieve a 30% ROI or greater, you will become an MTT great!

You should definitely be getting in the money a bit more often than that. The sampling is small but you likely have some holes in your game that are getting exploited.

You have not opted in to sharkscope, so I can only see your last 8 tournaments played. In those you have cashed two times, so your ITM over this sample is 25% as compared to the 3-4%, you claim to have seen over 360 games. ITM of only 3-4% over 360 games would be highly unusual even for a long term losing player. So are you really sure, this actually happened, or maybe your memory is playing tricks with you?

Congratulations with cashing again in your last tournament, even it was only a min-cash.

10. june 2022 3 games 1 cash
11. june 2022 1 game 1 cash
12. june 2022 4 games 1 cash

Total 8 games 3 cashes = ITM 37,5%

Patience is bliss. I get ITM most of the time when I care and don't take chances and mostly it is just min cash. I rarely get final tables and only won a couple of times but many 3-7 places. I'm only a mediocre player, playing nanostakes (at least it feels nano). Tight, aggressive and passive, but cautious. Extremely tight sometimes. One thing I learned in a few hundred tournaments. I don't need to be a big stack to get a final table and I have made a final table, being a microstack all the way. Played happily with 0.3 - 0.8 big blinds. Of course, no one recommends it but it works for me. I don't know if it works further up the road from $5 buy in, but up to $5, it worked for me. Surely, I could play any other way and I sometimes do loosen up and take risks and chances and it also works. But most of the time, I like easy decisions, good investment opportunities and no stress. Speculative play is only for when I'm 100% focused and I have a decent amount of knowledge about the other players. Most importantly, I do not like to gamble, but I do like to calculate, influence and tell stories.

Oh, and try the course on Cardschat, it's lovely. Won't make you win but may make you question your decisions. And it's free.

10 out of 360, if not money wasted than time, for sure So you may be better off investing that time into acquiring knowledge. After all, knowledgte is power, when put to good use, of course.

Hope it helps.

Congratulations with cashing again in your last tournament and in a freeroll on 11. june, which did not show up on Sharkscope in my last search. The bad run seem to be coming to an end?

10. june 2022 3 games 1 cash
11. june 2022 2 games 2 cashes
12. june 2022 5 games 1 cash
13. june 2022 1 game 1 cash

Total 11 games 5 cashes = ITM 45,5%

1st you need to separate those freerolls you're playing with pay games.
Now, how many of those did you play?
Then take a look at your game.
Like the other suggested, if that doesn't work, change your strategy.
:)
Then adjust your strategy after playing every 20 games or so.

ITMs are good but FTs are great :), only when concentrated ITMs quick often. But when tired or sometimes just luck does not hit /AA, KK, QQ is busted against 44, 66 or 45s :(/

No cashes the past 3 days, but 5 cashes over 18 games is still pretty good.

10. june 2022 3 games 1 cash
11. june 2022 2 games 2 cashes
12. june 2022 5 games 1 cash
13. june 2022 1 game 1 cash
14. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes
15. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes
16. june 2022 3 games 0 cashes

Total 18 games 5 cashes = ITM 27,8%

Congrats with yet another cash. ITM 26,1% is still very good, when you mainly play 45-man SnGs. An average player will only cash in 7/45 = 15,6% of these.

10. june 2022 3 games 1 cash
11. june 2022 2 games 2 cashes
12. june 2022 5 games 1 cash
13. june 2022 1 game 1 cash
14. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes
15. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes
16. june 2022 3 games 0 cashes
17. june 2022 3 games 0 cashes
18. june 2022 2 games 1 cash

Total 23 games 6 cashes = ITM 26,1%

Congrats with yet another cash. A freeroll showed up on 18. june, meaning you played 3 rather than 2 games. Yesterday you played 5 games but rebought twice in a 1,1$ MTT, so I will count that as 3 games. ITM 21,9% is still a perfectly fine result.

10. june 2022 3 games 1 cash
11. june 2022 2 games 2 cashes
12. june 2022 5 games 1 cash
13. june 2022 1 game 1 cash
14. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes
15. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes
16. june 2022 3 games 0 cashes
17. june 2022 3 games 0 cashes
18. june 2022 3 games 1 cash
19. june 2022 1 game 1 cash
20.june 2022 5+2 games 0 cashes

Total 32 games 7 cashes = ITM 21,9%

360 tournaments are very few for analysis to determine whether you are a good player or not, but still 10 out of 360 are too few, you need to get into ITM more often to be a profitable player !!!

First you have to consider the ROI not ITM cause you can make one final table and you're showing profit for the long term. Second your sample is too small, today is the 169th day and you played 360 mtts which is 2.13 mtt/day, a good sample per month is around 300 mtts (if you play only mtts) so increase your volume and focus on your game not results, as a poker player you have to be worried about big numbers not small ones. Good luck

the main distance, and the result at the end of the time period, not the session. you need to set goals for yourself for the week, month and look at the final result of the period, in a non-session or day.

Bit of a dry spell, but ITM 18,4% is still decent for mainly 45-man SnGs. So keep on grinding and studying.

10. june 2022 3 games 1 cash
11. june 2022 2 games 2 cashes
12. june 2022 5 games 1 cash
13. june 2022 1 game 1 cash
14. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes
15. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes
16. june 2022 3 games 0 cashes
17. june 2022 3 games 0 cashes
18. june 2022 3 games 1 cash
19. june 2022 1 game 1 cash
20. june 2022 5+2 games 0 cashes
21. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes
22. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes
23. june 2022 2 games 0 cashes

Total 38 games 7 cashes = ITM 18,4%
