In what position is it?

I have a question about the position of each player in a tournament in the following example: Player A with 5000 points, Player B with 4000 points and Player C with 3000 points. All three go all in, and player A wins, eliminating the other two players. My question is who is third and who is second? if player C has better cards than player B. Who is second of the two eliminated, the one with the best cards or the one with the most chips? I hope someone can solve this question for me and I hope I have been clear with the example. Thank you.

I'm not sure, but I think that the one with the most chips will be higher in the rating !!!

The one with the higher stacks of the two players. The hand ranking never goes into play when determining the tournament ranking.
