"Crazy" games can happen on every buy-in. Therefore it is always better to have some bankroll management, so that these game do not affect you so much.
It is not good to play with scared money. You can meet on every level someone, who is playing crazy and just not cares about what hand he/she plays, just because this person had some mood to buy-in at this level. You also can meet someone who plays hyper-aggressive any two and it is just his/her style. Your money ist not neccesarily safer than on lower buy-in.

First like others have said, bankroll management is key. If you are afraid to lose you won’t be as aggressive and won’t succeed as much.

Secondly play tight. Let the crazy people shoot themselves by going all in with a straight when you have the nut flush. Just don’t try to out crazy them or you will surely lose in the long run.
