Headed to my first wsop circuit event in February. I was looking for any suggestions or advice people have. I'm typically used to playing in much smaller venues which average around 100 players and only a $180 buy in.
I would have played this series but I do not like turbo tournaments(((mad:
Register the day before or as early as you can, lines can get long. Scope out restrooms (you'll want 2-3 options), where to eat when you make it to dinner break, where to smoke (if a smoker, hope you aren't).
Take a hoodie, jacket, sweater, sweatshirt etc. to deal with varying room temps. Take your own water/coffee/etc so you don't have to wait for someone to come by the tables.
Good Luck!
Patience, patience and more patience.
Don't assume the other players are better than you, even if they seem to know the dealers, each other, etc. Play your game.
If it is a re-entry tournament, watch out for players with small stacks early. They'll shove basically anything because they're going to re-enter if they lose. A good opportunity to pick up chips if you've got a strong hand.
Which stop are you playing?
