8th What to open in MP3 at the beginning of the tournament

Today we will address the MP3 position

Now we are in one of the last positions to respond to an action, with that we gain a little more flexibility, allowing to expand the range.
But always remember the rule that it is necessary to observe everyone around you to decide which decision to make.

Good job with these basic guidelines for positional play. Adding in the range charts is good for beginner players to visualize their hand choices.

For beginners reading this:
as you widen your range in later position the playing habits of the villains in the blinds becomes more important.
You will be playing only the blinds far more often in these spots.
So we will be adjusting the above range to the habits of our most likely post flop villains.
We want to know how often they fold/raise/call preflop
We want to know if they can be bluffed post flop.
We want to know how many streets of betting it requires to get a fold.
We want to know what sizing to use to be most effective to get folds or value.

Gathering this data in game prior to taking action is how we can better refine our ranges vs specific Villains so that we can build the foundation for 3 streets of effective play.

Hope this helps

Yes, as I usually say, it is always necessary to analyze the variables outside the deck. This will make it easier to win.

Luck helps you win some hands, and I guarantee you that more than 90% of those hands will not make you win a tournament.
In poker, skill speaks louder than luck.
