Many professionals like Daniel Negreanu on your Stream and play. They leave the cursor on the discarded cards. I also think that this is not a good habit. Constantly look at the stack sizes in tournaments and watch their discarded cards.

depends, if you are in a good position and with connected cards or ss, it can be a good give shek, most times this is not good but in several cases yes like the button or BB

Watching how the players play is much more important. You want to see who is bluffing, or is playing strong hands slow, and who utilizes position more.

If you have to look up your cards on the flop you are far from the level of focus you should have...
How do you want to keep track of your opponents habits when you can’t remeber your whole cards for 30 secs...
