Best way to play under avrage stack in Turbo MMTs

Hello guys, There is a situation that make me struggle almost every time,
Imagine you did not get any good starting hands in 50 first hands and you are behind average stack, I will just wait for a premium hand and will make an All-In pre-flop, but this move is just lucky move for double-up and comeback, Can you explain a more strategic way to play with a stack like 30 BBs in early stages of tournament? which bet sizing is more wise to do? Should I just wait for AA,KK,QQ,AKs and make all in pre-flop or...?

If this were to happen to me I would look for a decent hand and take a calculated risk. Say your down to 12 BB in the cutoff. A9o is not a great hand but one i would go with. You dont just have to wait on a premium hand.
