So I am not going to play cash games for now and focus on MTTs PKO and re-entry
I am running this right now
https://www.cardschat.com/forum/poker-staking-64/mtts-3-30x30-2-70x10-20-a-496493/
granted its only day 1 right now on this action
for some reason running a stake like this seems to help me with my BRM
I pick my torneys i plan to play in via stake agreement
this is my new year approach and i feel in control
can you guys share things that have helped you by selling your action or being staked
and yes by selling action it minimizes the strain on BR
somewhere i feel this could help my mental game some how
Thanks :icon_porc:icon_porc
Purely personal opinion:
Tried both selling/buying. First i thought it can be a good idea for higher levels, but had to relize, there is no real advantage there for the horse, and plenty negative sides...
Don't think, it is a good solution for anybody who wants to make money from micro/low stakes tourneys. It applies more stress, pressure, pointless on these levels... if you are totally broke, and there are poker players, whose play for fun, like to watch other's games, like to stake players, knowing there is more chance to lose than win, only for fun, then it makes some sense for both parties, as it doesnt cost much.
I can understand it on high stakes, also almost all the backer companies/teams out there deal only with that. It is simply not worthy on lower levels...
If you can't afford and beat micro/low levels, then poker good for hobby only. If you can, why do you want to get rid of part of your profit???
On higher levels, I don't have any personal experience. There are definitely players whose can't afford the variance, but mid, long term still can be profitable, for them probably it is worthy. Otherwise, again, you just get rid of part of your profit... (and basically all the backers on that level looking for poor, but above average, profitable players, to make some money from tin air.... very similar to bank, business, gov sector, any kind of other slavery workplaces... why would you want that? when most of the profitable, full time players always wanted to get rid of the visible/invisible person behind their back, who is pushing them in the ratrace and can profit from their existence, life, work, time without any real effort...)
Buying it, also doesn't look so good for me, based on my experience. The worst one was some low 11-22$ tourney, where the guy was sitting out in the first 1 hour, he came back and within few
hands, went preflop allin with some Ax off and got busted...
By the way, it totally makes no sense for me under few hundred BIs in a package, or some short-mid term time limit (3-12 months) or fixed amount limit, what also enough for at least 500-1000 BIs at least.
