I think Mr Beard...whatever...
Should almost always c-bet the flop. Coz if oppoenent in the big blinds called him with such bad pot odds. He should give them credit a good enough hand. So he/she should bet for value starting from the flop. Checking back is not too bad. But i wouldnt put my opponent on any 8s or JT combos. Maybe AJ or AQ type hands. So i bet all three streets and get my full value .

Yeah, I am betting any street without an Ace, and sometimes betting the Ace. After the flop, you have to worry about not only the Ace, but now the 7,9, and Queen. Flop isn't too scary, so 1/4 pot bet at least. If they fold, you still pick up 10BB. Turn is a good card, but I'd go about 1/3 pot. As for the river, only thing to worry you is a nine or eight. I would absolutely value bet about 1/4 pot.

When we fail to bet best hands, we are leaving money on the table. You don't have to bet enough to scare them off, but each street of betting allows you to bet a little more the next street.

As for the hand it was a pretty nasty runout for KK. But even so I do feel, that maybe a bit of value was lost. Even just a slightly larger turn bet would have been fine :)

Definitely missed some value on this hand. I would advocate betting on the flop, somewhere in the neighborhood of half pot or slightly smaller. On the turn which is not a great card in my opinion but not a bad card either as I would not expect them to not have too many 8s in their calling range of a 5x raise but it could be used as a scare card in a way so I would not love that sitting there with KK, I would be betting here. As played you need to bet more than you did, maybe something like 11k or so. If you had bet the flop then I think betting 1/3rd on the turn as you did is fine. On the river I dont like that there is 4 to a straight and even if I hadnt bet two streets prior to this I would just check behind here. Probably giving too much credit but I would hate to bet there and then be raised and have to fold. That is why though betting on the flop is so important because we probably are only getting a max of two streets of value anyway and if you bypass the flop then a bad runout can hinder you from getting the second street on the river.
