I probably would pay only because I have committed a lot of money in the pot therefore folding on the last street seems to not make any sense.

All will depend on your opponent reads if he called your bets on that board he should be playing either for the flush or the straight or a flopped set.Thus if you have shoved the Turn it would be more profiteable than betting there and now on this scary river I would probably fold and wait for a better hand after all it's just a pair of aces and a lot of hands that could hit his range

It is difficult to say whether call or fold, we need more information, what kind of villain is, as was the action pre flop, post flop, on the turn.
I think I would call just because you cumite with the bote. GL

an 8 or a 5 is breaking pretty normally that all in means a lot of strength I would fold quietly
