I spent a winning ticket yesterday. unfortunately I didn't get to the money. 2 hours late registration adds a lot of other players. after 1 hour we add almost 600 people. many do re-buy (50s ), expensive ) immediately. a lot of people after they go all-in and lose. it is really very difficult to try to win for free. but still I continue to work on myself in receiving any dividends from such an event. it's long tedious and scary. I think that in such fights the real skill is forged.

Have not played at 888 when playing learned --- that's gone yesterday today! moving fierce.
And won in the stars but in the end it won 5.50 today to try to Buda, there is someone in the subject mt Cashman seen there.

I have played a few of the 5.5$ "big fish" on 888 Poker, and despite the name my impression is, that they mostly attract rather serious players. Which is perhaps not so surpricing, since they have a large field, a slow structure and not the lowest buyin. So all in all probably the opposite of, what the average fish or gambler is looking for except maybe the large pricepool, which can compete with some of those on Stars. But if you are looking for soft tournaments, you should probably play RA`s, PKOs or basically anything else with a buyin of 5$ or less.

I think this name implies a large number of fish and so there are grazing sharks, large and small. in the first half hour, the little sharks eat almost all the fish, and then the big sharks eat the little ones. I was three times among the first eaten, and two times was among the second. almost before the bubble. and always money waved me handles.

Playing wit the big fish regs eh, when I first started playing these I didnt know about the addon thing, you dont really need to take all of it, I usually take 2. Ummm freebuys I mean.. most games take 3 hrs min, this is a sub-satty you dont need to play every premium you get. Just keep maintaining your stack. You win a seat to the next round- satty which pays a ticket. And it gets harder at the 16.5/33 level , only in a blue moon I play these even the freebuys.. the regs play these too. tip - tag the regs (usually the players who take the addons) , then theres the big fish tournment...Bab makes a point about the "shark" thing, so I just max late reg these...then go SSN , 2 dubs and your in

Personally i think its great that 888 have these freerolls so often. not that i always get a ticket mind! maybe 5% of the time i do, as theyre crazy hyper turbo type action with many ppl getting it all in every hand, but when i compare this to pokerstars freeroll structure i think its much better!

for me, the structure of Hyper turbo with a long late registration, suitable only when jumping in 15 minutes. if you jump later, you need the aura of an all-in champion. I unfortunately do not have that power. I'm always waiting for the best hand to move.

Big Fish tourneys are very good. I appreciate 888 for that. As I am a freeroll player so I never use my money to play in these tourneys. I use the tickets via Spin to play in these tourneys. I have cashed in $5.5, $16.5 and $33.5 tourneys. My best finished was 10th place in $16.5 tourney last month.

Basically this is how, all tournaments work, except that sometimes people get lucky and run deeper, than they should given their skill set. After all Cris Moneymaker was clearly not the best player in the field, when he won the wsop main event and started the poker boom.
As for the "big fish" tournaments on 888 poker, the "big" part of the name is more factual than the "fish" part. It is their largest regular speed normal tournaments. And who care, what they call them. Its fun, and I dont mind it.
Just dont expect, that these events are particularly soft, because they are not. One might assume, that with large fields, there should be a higher percentage of recreational players. But I dont think, this is the case. Maybe what happen instead is, that many tournament "sharks" play on multible sites and only come over to 888 to play these flagship events.

The big fish as an torunament - a regualr MTT some recriational players, some regs... nothing out of the ordinary for 5.5$,16.5$, and 33$ MTT. The goldmine are the sats to them. Especially the 50c>5$ - the pool is weak... I mean 50c tourneys are 50c toruneys so you can not expect much(it is nearly impossible not to get that ticket even if you fire 3 bullets, so thats 1.5$ for 5.5$ - value) and there has been no not-overlayed sat for weeks now I would think. The overs 1s 1.5/3.3 again weak pool, but you have to check for your time zone, some are good(overlayed) some are bad(nopt overlayd)...
*Never playd the freebuys, so dont know, but I would be reaaly surprised if there are good players in it. Would concider them a waist of time as any freebuy.... what is it like 1:40-50 on a 50c ticket? But thats me
