Hero has 50bb Utg 6-max Turbo 5 minute blinds with A2s everyone else has 10-20 bb min raise the A2s. Fold to the small blind who jams for 12bb. Call/Fold?
Thank you for posting
1 When stacks are sub 20bb most 3 bets are shoves so when we open we had better expect to be shoved on. Turbos the shoves are more likely.
2 This stack size in a turbo is the key here because the blinds are now on our side. Everyone on the table has to play face up every hand for fear of you re-raising or calling light shoves. So we do not need to win the blinds on a speculative hand OOP.
3 The BB shoved on you see #2 to refine BB's shove range when doing
equity calculations now off the table.
4 A2s is behind most shoving ranges in this scenario see #2 so the size of the bounty comes into play here.
Our stack advantage means we do not have to play weaker
hands in the worst position. Even in the BB our villains may not risk trying to steal from you. So the Low Jack position (6 max first to act or UTG) becomes the worst spot on the table for us because we cannot call the 20bb shoves this light as we lose our stack advantage if we lose that hand. Being in the Low Jack means everyone else is yet to act and we will run into #2 range shoves and have to fold most of the time. when we open this light to preserve our stack advantage.
In this position as well we can be called preflop and be handcuffed post flop on most flops even an A flopping we hate if called.
Hope this helps
