Is This the Year for the Fins?

A decent start has been made for my beloved Miami Dolphins but with 3 games in, theres a long, long way to go - but surely a playoff place at least is due...

To be honest I dont know much about american football teams. But I know Miami Dolphins about one thing: it has very nice and attractive cheerleaders.

A good win for the Bengals last night saw my FINS lose their unbeaten record but to be honest - all FINS fans were more concerned by the concussion suffered by Tua after being sacked.

Hard to say, Bridgewater seems to be a more accurate passer than Tua but I don't have any confidence in him taking the team to the Super Bowl.

Tough loss last week but aiming to put that behind us with a much needed win tomorrow away at the New York Jets - its time to get this show back on the road baby!! The latest updates show that Tua has sensibly been ruled out of the game tomorrow as he continues to recover from concussion and our veteran QB Teddy Bridgewater steps in... LETS GO FINS!!

Pleased to see the NFL powers that be have finally got their heads straight and looked at the whole allowing Tua to play on with a concussion - it was wrong and should never be allowed to happen again.

The background to this was -

Tagovailoa played on despite suffering a head injury against the Buffalo Bills on 25 September.

He then played against the Cincinnati Bengals four days later, when he left the field with a concussion.

I think the Fins are still in a good spot. Look at their schedule:
Today @ NY Jets, even with Bridgewater they should win
10/16 vs Minnesota - could be tricky but being at home will help
10/23 vs Pittsburgh - HUGE game on Sunday night, let's hope Tua plays here to give the Fins a shot to win
10/30 @ Detroit - Lions are better than last year but still stink....
11/6 @ Chicago - Not crazy about this one but Justin Fields hasn't been the saviour yet for Da Bears
11/13 v Cleveland - The Browns are good but it is a winnable game

I think an argunment could be made that they go 4-2 in this next stretch of games, leaving them at 7-3 just past the half way point I'd be fine with them in that spot!! This is definitely a season of hope for Miami

Well the hangover continues as we look to regroup without Tua - to be fair to Jets, they played well and definitely deserved the win.

We just kept fumbling the ball, too many incomplete passes and when we looked to make a comeback, we then lost momentum and possession of the ball at critical times.

I watched the game (as i do all Fin Games) and we were poor. Simple as.

The game v the steelers cannot come quick enough for me as we need to get back to winning ways and as for Tuas availability? I want him well 100% before i even think about rostering him for the game.

I think the fins will be fine once TUA Is back. Injurys and a team that play well yesterday can happen to anyone. I still thnk your team will be in the playoffs and that better than where my team will end up.

Suffering.... Played better 3rd and 4th quarters but defensively, the Vikings were too good today.

Monday Night Football for my Fins this coming 24th October.

Steelers are currently bottom of their AFC North table but make no mistake, those boys will come to play and play hard!

Good News is that Tua is preparing to start after his concussion layoff. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FINS!!

Finally!

The first quarter set it all up and bar a brief comeback by the steelers, FINS close out a clutch win game!

Boy this was needed let me tell you.

Tua threw for 261 yards including 1 TD - great to have him back.

Next Game - Sunday 30th October away at...

Now this was a thriller...did we deserve to win this? Hmm barely to be honest and if Detroit had made better yardage in final quarter - we would be talking about a different result and it would have been no disrespect and nothing but praise for the lions.

However, the purists will say, Miami were amazing, losing the first two quarters and chasing the game - this set up an amazing third quarter by FINS which resulted in a 14-0 shut out - we fell over the line to win 31-27.

Every away win in this league is gold people and we rock on to our next game against a sluggish Chicago bears despite their win v Pats - this game being away at Soldier Field on Sunday 6th November - its this game that will tell us exactly how far Miami have come in the past year, make no mistake as the bears can really turn it on at home if their game clicks.

Win this game away and it sets us up nicely to push on - however, who is going to stop Buffalo this year?!!!!

What a game - all down to Miamis defence for the first three quarters.

To win at Soldier Field is never easy and yet again Miami make it over the line..just!

3 TD passes for Tua for just over 300 yards gain - this guy makes the difference!

and surprisingly...the Jets beat the Bills!

Next up on Sunday 13th November..dont read into the 3 and 5 for the Browns - their offense is supremely talented and we will have to be on our game to stop them - if we play to our passing and rushing strengths, we should do well here and start back on the road to chasing that playoff place...

Back on top of AFC East having played 1 game more but right now i will happily take 7 and 3...with that extra game played, the FINS are now in training and not back on the gridiron until Sunday 27th Nov at home versus Houston Texans.

I agree Chris as Jaylen Waddle is twice the player when Tua is on the field and firing like he is - what concerns me however is the lack of quality squad depth but fingers crossed - the aim is to try and make playoffs - its about time!
