Syracuse loses Kris Joseph but still beats Cincinnati.
With a few minutes left in the first half, Joseph fell hitting his head on the court with a sickening thud. He did not return to the game and will probably miss Monday’s Big East game vs. Pitt. In his absence, forwards Southerland and Fair helped pull off a 67 –52 win over the Bearcats. Cincinnati made just 25 percent of its field goal attempts in the second half and shot a season-low 30.5 percent for the game. MVP of the game was senior Rick Jackson with his 11th double-double of the season.

SU’s record is now 18-0 overall and 5-0 in the Big East.
