Dumbest, these days, in football, of course. There are some players that I don't know how they managed to become professionals because they are so bad.
They just do that and they can't learn basic things, like how to hit the ball in a 7-meter goal.

In my opinion it should be re-evaluated If American football should have a right to exist 🤣Dumbest, these days, in football, of course. There are some players that I don't know how they managed to become professionals because they are so bad.
They just do that and they can't learn basic things, like how to hit the ball in a 7-meter goal.
The name itself is a paradoxon.
You play the ball mainly with your hands...with a little kicking....and its called FOOTball.
I guess they applied their same idea of logic like they think it was a good idea to stick to the imperial system rather than the metric 🤣🤣

Jeez what a harsh start for a thread, I'm not sure that somehow someone could possibly calculate such a thing.
Alot of times people in bad situations who have athletic gifts get passes through a lot of life situations on hopes for them to make the big time and they aren't the smartest.
I've been a fan of sports since a child and I'm not sure there is a clear winner.
I've seen football, baseball, basketball, boxing, soccer, hockey really have all the same sort of thing going on here and there. If I consider most scandals then also you can really declare a so called winner. At least not in my eyes.
Maybe someone else share some light for me.

In my opinion, any sport requires discipline, perseverance and skill. Athletes who were able to achieve success deserve all the more respect. Patient, disciplined and persistent people simply cannot be stupid.

Ja is a pretty smart basketball player. He just didn't expect the League to respond with a lengthy suspension for his gun act. For example, I find Pascal Siakam or Jaden Ivey less intellectual than Morant.

Yes, Ja is both smart and stupid at the same time. There are people who are book smart and those who are street smart. Ja is neither. I think all athletes are not stupid, they are already an art form, that's good, I think they should be understood and respected for their work and contribution to any sport. There are funny sports that will sometimes make people laugh, but I haven't seen stupid athletes they can pretend to be like this but they're not like that

People are stupid in different areas, and sports in no way indicates a person's stupidity, but rather, on the contrary, it indicates his discipline. I don't know what field you work in, but I think you will agree with me that there are stupid specialists in your field too

Hit the nail on the head. It's everywhere. I forget who but whoever mentioned the discipline and dedication they need to achieve pro status should deserve some credit, more than a little. But unfortunately alot of times coming up through getting to the pros they're overlooked or covered up with a lot of silly stuff due to talent...regardless, everywhere in this world has jts fair share or stupidity and not so smart people bo matter where or what you're doing.

The whole issue of transgenders messing up women's sports comes to mind. It's about time they just get their own leagues to mess around in I think.
I am not a big believer in professional sports as a sensible career for anyone. I do feel for any woman that worked hard and trained for years only to be surpassed by a transgender male that changed teams , often after failing in men's categories. There are just story after story of these cases.
There was one last year in canada , a trans weight lifter took out all the women, and to make a point a male non trans entered as a woman to take the trans out. Weird and sad.

The smartests...maybe water-polo players. Hungarian water-polo representative team had a lot of players with university degree. They are the number 1 "targets" of girls (plus there is no player under 190 cm / 6 '2 ).

I think if we are talking about professional athletes I think they ALL tend to be socially stupid even if they ain't stupid in reality since they focus on this one thing their whole life that they don't have any other interests, life plans or hobbies usually. Plus they are adored, they get so much fan love that they are like gods in terms of social power... they can say anything they want and nobody will challenge them on it.
if we put this in these types of terms I think the stupidest are the sports where you can practice the most and least stupid are the ones where optimal practice is the least amount of hours.
