It's sad this happened. He carved out a niche for himself in hockey, but couldn't keep it together outside the rink. I remember reading once when he was still playing that the Red Wings sent him to the Kronk Gym in Detroit, so Emanuel Steward, the famous boxing trainer, could improve his fighting technique.

probert!

considered the best fighter by many the NHL has ever seen! his fights with do:)mi were legendary! probert and kocur were quite a pair! gla at the tables!:D

He was a fighter with a scoring touch....rare breed. Also a very nice person the one time I met him.
