They get my seal of approval—I can finally throw cards and other objects. Let's hope the requirements stay sane.

I wouldn't mind to have the option to block certain abusers, perhaps by blocking their chat.

They get spammy IMO. if the cooldowns were longer it'd help, also sometimes (especially if there are people from the same country in the table) they gang onto one player throwing stuff. I've seen half of the table just spamming one guy for the rest of the table just for winning a hand

Complete nonsense as far as I'm concerned. They should shove them on play money tables only. I have also witnessed (and been the recipient) a gang of players firing them at one player.

It's a race to the bottom now - it cheapens the site and makes it more of a computer game.

Perhaps you take them too seriously. It's an optional feature giving more opportunities for human interaction in an environment where the poker tells are already minimal. Is it better to always face players who have a generic avatar, a number instead of a name, and they never use chat/emot{es,icons}? It feels too much like playing against bots IMO, and I prefer playing against humans.

The throwables are enabled by default because most people wouldn't know about their existence. If the feature bothers you, the solution is simple:
Settings → Table Appearance → Animation → TABLE EMOTES (Scroll to bottom) → DisabledOK

I do like the throwables as it's fun and laughter but I do find it rather annoying over time when players keep doing it especially the same players over and over again on same table. Anyways I ignore them when others throw stuff at me.

I really like it, it's fun !!!!
Me too, this makes the game more fun and helps to endure the bads beats. It is a way of and expressing without verbally attacking the opponent

Now you said everything I did too and I was unable to explain. That makes our opponents REAL. And is there a way to disable the feature? I didn't know it either, thanks for the info

Yes, sometimes it is boring, some players exaggerate, that is true.
But it ends up being a bigger challenge for our concentration. And I repeat, in live games (mainly in cash games) players will try to unbalance the opponent in all ways. It is more training for our mind.

How anyone can't see it for what it is, is astounding.

Kids like childish things.
Any mature adult is going to shake their head in wonder as to how these sorts of cartoons even came to be. It has no place in poker. Only online where children can access what's an adult game, would you see ît lowered to foolishness (at best).
Those that think it anything but moronic, I'd suggest you head to the casino and attempt such things in their poker room. If you're even old enough to get in that is.
If old enough and think the cartoons aren't childish, ten to one says they automatically have their identification in hand anytime they're going to attempt entry into an adult only establishment.

I hate those throwables, they distract me and can be used to bully opponents into tilt. Real nonsense in my opinion.

I think it is childish and promotes childish behaviour.
Sure, I see the fun side of it, and have thrown stuff at people when they stall constantly.

When i first joined 888 in january, i thought i had joined some circus sideshow, with all the cartoon animals and stuff being thrown around. At least you can turn some things off.

Cheers

I loved them in the first place, but they should be stopped in the case of all in the style of chat so that someone does not refer to him as a winner or loser preflop or after
