This is a discussion on Opt-in or dont opt-in to sharkscope???? within the online poker forums, in the Poker Software & Tools section; I have been thinking for a while to optin my fulltilt account to sharkscope...
How many of you did that and what are the pros and
I don't play SNG's anymore, but its an easy way to track winnings if you don't want to track them yourself. I think whether you opt in or out is more of a personal decision in my opinion. Do you care if your opponents can easily see how good you are and your ROI for certain games/stakes? Personally I see no harm in it, however from personal experience if I look someone up who has impressive stats I'm much more wary of them and it can change the way I play against them.
I really dont care about does anyone know am i winning or not, i actually dont play SNG at FTP neither i do play buyin MTT, i mostly play cash, kinda thought that with OPTIN my CC game results will apear but i guess it depends from site to site, my PP stats shows sng games and CC games too, FTP shows only their results not private games, stars doesnt show anything...
Thanks for the reply BTW, sorry for getting back here this late
only downfall is what huwww said "however from personal experience if I look someone up who has impressive stats I'm much more wary of them and it can change the way I play against them."
we are all opted for the group stake,
easy to see and record the games we play
I remember seeing CC games on 1 tracking sight,
dont see them on officialpokerrankings or ss atm
I opted in all my accounts from Pokerstars, 888 and Party. I don't think MTT stats can reveal about my playing styles, so I have nothing to worry about. However I see a lot of SNG grinders at Pokerstars hide their stats and don't want to show profit to other players. I'm sure that they must have played > 50K SNG games.
It's good to opt in if you have a paid sharkacope and you are a MTT player, you can do a lot of filters to have an ideia on what tournaments you are going well or don't...
For me I recently Discover that I suck on bounty tournaments so I stop playing It
I have opted in to SharkScope because I was curious what my full stats look like. The information there was not completely correct though, because I have played some tournaments with free tickets and they cannot see whether you participated with a ticket or you bought in. So I opted out again and now my stats are invisible for other players, which is perfectly fine for me. Since then I keep track of my own stats with a simple excel document and that is perfectly fine for me.
I think I optedin back when I could still play on PS. I guess a should check that - but it is crazy that this morning was the first time I thought about SS in about a decades time. I couldn't remember the name of it, but I come to cards chat for the first time in over a year and the first thread I see is about SS (from 2014 no less). Things that make you go hmmmmmm.
