As a long time Bovada/Bodog user, HI is definately allowed. A Bodog site rep confirmed it in a post on another site. Although the tool is very limited it is really very helpful when playing multiple tables. Its limitation is if you change tables (even if only for 1 hand) then get sent back to your original table, all stats are gone even if you have a hundred hands against that player in your current table/session.

I respect PTR and HM for their stance on working with the sites, and can agree there is almost no value in them supporting Bodog anonymous software.

As an aside, while some in this thread think that Bodog providing hand histories that include all cards for all hands breaks the spirit of the rules of poker (and I cant honestly argue the point), the hand histories are out there and players who want to improve now have a great opportunity to see how the generally very bad bodog players play.

I am not sure of the rules of the forum here, but I have coded a FREE replayer that replays the hand histories from Bovada/Bodog (currently only for NLHE tournaments - since that is all I really play).

As my website states, the software is in no way meant to compete with the Poker Tracker's and Hold Em Manager's of the world (it is a hobby project of mine that I code when not working my full time job, taking care of my family and playing poker - which is almost no time at all).

If anyone is interested you can check it out at tournamentpokermanager.com

MODS: If links to free software is not allowed, please delete and accept my apologies.
that link isn't active any more...anyone know if there's a new site with that replayer there?

They do not write hand histories to the disk. You have to email support to get the hands. Ace Poker Solutions has a Converter to use to import the hands.

Has anyone used Hold'em Indicator recently?

How's the software? No free trial.

It's just ok. Kind of overpriced, but the HUD does work on Bovada. If i remember correctly it has a 48 hour trial period. And i think there are a couple ways to get it for free.

If you are playing on another site would recommend PT4 or HM2.

Any possibility of getting a link to that 48 hour trial period?

I have a new tool for bovada that's in beta. If you'd like to be a tester, PM me and in return you'll get a free version of the software. But I need to know what poker database you have, and what games you're playing mainly.

So I love Bovada..

but i want to step my game up online with a HUD tracker. Is it worth switching sites just for the HUD? I really want a HUD and want to find leaks in my game.

I like the display of the games on Bovada, not the grainy layout of BetOnline or FullFlush. I trust the software behind it too. Is Indicator worth the money? Why or why not?

You can use the bovada hand converter and import your hands to PT4/HM2 for review 24 hours after you played the hands. If you want to actually use a HUD when playing you will need to play on a different site.

It appears that you may be misunderstanding the terminology. Hope we can help.

A Tracker is the tool that imports your hand histories, then parses this data into reports and graphs. The tracker allows you to review your play, find leaks, and work to improve your game. The HUD is a feature within the tracker, it displays the data from the tracker on the table while you are playing. HUDs don't help you find leaks in your game... they are performance enhancement tools that help you remember who your opponents are so your decision making process is streamlined in game. Both PT4 and HM2 sell trackers that include the HUD as a feature. Does that help explain things better?

Yes thank you. I've been having trouble keeping the two terms separated and this clarifies perfectly. I need a HUD more than tracking software because I won't know how to use the data! Also, I play on Bovada and don't wish to leave so a tracker won't do me much good outside of one session. You, however, sir, have clarified this for me.

Looks like I get to use a HUD and leave Bovada, or stay at Bovada and not use a HUD.

Which leads me to my next question, are there any sites with software similar to Bovada's in that the cards are smooth, the rooms look smooth, but the players aren't anonymous?

If you are trying to find leaks i recommend checking out Leakbuster for either PT or HM2. But if you are playing on Bovada you will need the HH Converter to get your hands into either database so you can review hands, see stats, graphs, etc.

Thank Goathair. Do these graphs extend beyond 24 hours?

Thank Goathair. Do these graphs extend beyond 24 hours?

A graph can extend over the course of your entire database, they can be filtered to any time frame you want. But if your looking to improve your game and stop leaks, graphs won't help you - you should instead be reading reports and running filters to review your play in common and tough situations. Results Graphs let you visually see results, but they tell you nothing about your abilities, skills, or weaknesses.

Additionally we would advise focusing your attention of a coaching site where uyou can learn from watching other skillful players. We havent seen any App, including our own, that can replace a good solid education and ability - there are no silver bullets, it takes lots of hard work and study to get good at poker.

Holdem Indicator is ok. Not as sophisticated as (say) HM2, but easy to use. Works on a very wide variety of sites with minimal setting up.

I own both HM2 and HI and use both of them about equally. Often both at once, since it`s possible to set them up in such a way that HM2 overlays the table, while HI displays in a panel below. One can then configure the two in such a way as to have every stat you might want to know simultaneously on view, without undue clutter.

holdem indicator

I already signed up for an account on the site I want to play on. I was wondering if it was still possible to get a working copy of holdem indicator anywhere? If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it.

Thx
