Hi,

Can anyone explain to me why my 888poker account would be "temporarily suspended"?

I have tried to contact their support but get no reply. I only joined the site this past Sunday, was offered an $88 welcome package, I checked their FAQ's and cannot see anywhere that I violated any of their policies or abused the site in any manner!

Can anyone assist me? Thank You!

Services may no longer be available in your country, check it. If you only joined in the days, there is likely to be an identity check. They will contact you shortly and ask for a copy about your personal documents.

How would they verify your I.D. As I thought that was done in their first email to me asking to click to verify I.D by confirming email account ?

You need to send them a photo of your passport or drivers licence and something with your address on like a bank statement or bill i believe. You can always contact support they can let you know exactly what to do, if they have live chat it's best

What country are you calling from? I have yet to be asked for and verification of identity. I deposited bu CC and am Cdn is probably why id guess. Sorry about that.

canada, and according to their information both my desktop and tablet should work! Never had this happen with ANY other site.

Its frustrating as they have still not responded, though I have sent 3 seperate requests!

Also, As I have won a couple of times and most of the tickets I've won have expiry dates
On them, so not only am I missing out on the promotional offers that were initially coming, but they are costing me the tickets that I have legitimately won!

I've yet to do that (i think) but i didn't exprience such welcome when i joined them ...

Check in the cashier, if you have waiting action to verify your account. It depends, what you mean by "suspended". For me after my first deposit, I got information, my account was "limited", meaning I could not withdraw money, before I send them copy of my ID and the credit card used to deposit the money.

Good morning,

Well I finally received a response from 888poker, and as others had mentioned, it was a verification request. Though I submitted the requested information, I think there are far better ways of going about this, than thinking your playing as a responsible player and your account gets locked out. Could they not request the information while your account is still active, and suspend it only if the information is not provided within a specified time frame.

Can members who play 888poker please tell me if I can trust this site, and/or will I run into further issues on this site?

The way they went about it is not only embarrassing but put my integrity in question since they provided no initial information concerning their process!

I have playing on 888 for the last 2½ month, and there are some issues with software stability, but I still recommend the site because of their promotions and a soft player pool. Its not as professional as pokerstars, but that is kind of to be expected, when traffic is 7 times lower. I would not take this verification issue personal. They do it to everyone in one way or another, and it does after all serve a legitimate purpose to prevent cheating, money laundering etc.

So, I finally got my account fully unlocked! I lost $5 in $0.50 tickets, a $3,000 Blast freeroll ticket and a $5.00 ticket WON in one of the Blast freerolls!

I don't know about you but I consider it crass and shoddy treatment of potential new players to their site!

There could or should have been an upfront message when you join!

Not impressed!

It is difficult to answer. There can be many reasons and they can be different. The most common reason for blocking is to create multiple accounts. Contact their support team.

They dont do this to everyone. I could still play, while my account was being verified, I could just not withdraw money. Which did not matter, because I had after all just deposited, so why would I want to withdraw.

There must been something, that triggered an alarm in your case. Maybe as others have suggested, that someone else has been playing from the same IP address creating a suspicion about multi accounting.

And while it is annoying, if you are innocently suspected of cheating, I think, it would be much worse, if poker sites did nothing to crack down on potential cheaters. It is after all the integrety of the games, which are at stake here, since its so easy to collude online or even control two different accounts from two different computers.

Contact support and let them know all this tell them what you have lost during the process and request the tickets be refunded. You have essentially lost your sign up bonuses and/or winnings so it's well worth contacting support over and raising the issue with them.

I have contacted support a couple of times already to raise the issue and have had zero response back from them! Frankly, I think it's a pretty shoddy way to treat new members to the site, in my opinion!

Support for poker888 does not respond immediately, sometimes you need to wait a few days for an answer. I had a similar problem with an account for poker888, I wrote in support and asked that they call me back. Within a few days I received a call and we solved my problem. I advise you to try to contact support by phone. In general, I am satisfied with poker888, a good poker room. Good luck.
