Greetings to all. I am against drinking alcohol while playing. Alcohol relaxes and dulls the work of the brain, attentiveness and logic deteriorate. This all leads to failure.

Yes, of course you are allowed to drink whatever you want there. And you are even allowed to eat something beside the table when you are playing. At least it was like this before the Covid times. Maybe this changed meanwhile, because of this as you also will have to wear face masks in some countries in the casino.

UH oh, are we over 21???? lol.

You can drink alcohol and have food at the table in casinos I've been to in the US since you have to be 21 to play but they all have the right to card you.

Some casinos will have folks walking around tables asking if you want stuff to order. Most casinos have cup holders in the rail. Once in awhile I see folks break out a little dolly behind them to put food and drinks on but I really don't see that especially at cash games. And this is how a lot of chips at the casino get nasty by the way.

The folks that drink especially on the weekends were always willing to give up money. The only other folks more willing to give up money were the folks that just came from playing a losing session of some high stakes casino game and decided for some reason to walk into the poker room at like 1-3am on Friday or Saturday night.

Yes, you can drink any alcohol. But you can't put glasses on the poker table. You can take a small table and put beer and snacks on it.

I don't think it's allowed. I wouldn't do it myself.

Yes, but anytime I drink I always get way too over confident, start shoving with 64 suited lol (not really, well there was once)... I just feel bad not ordering something...they do offer water, and I should just order that.

I thought it was funny, there was a dude ordering caffeine free coffee at a table I was at during a game, and I was thinking, that is EXACTLY what I want lol. They did not have it...BYOCFC lol

Plenty of other times to drink booze, but at the poker table (unless there isn't money involved) is not a good decision IMO.

I read the comments of those who played at a live table or in the know, I thought it was impossible, it’s clear that you relax a little with alcohol, maybe it’s even better for someone, maybe this person won’t be too serious without a bottle of beer, and it will be easier for him to play, to be liberated, so to speak [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

Maybe I'm just guessing, I don't know how it actually happens[emoji3][emoji3]
I am just talking crazy, I made a friend in Las Vegas before playing tournaments, and it's hard to not drink and hang out before playing poker... Not easy being disciplined and focused when booze is around.

Once you start drinking in any way, it is hard to stop, so it is better just not to even drink. Just go and play cards, then go drink elsewhere!

Drinks are free at poker rooms in Las Vegas.

I rarely drink alcohol at the table...but...

The waitress asks the table if anyone wants anything....

A woman playing at our table asks for champagne.

It sounded so good that I also order a champagne.

"Two champagnes - very good." the waitress says.

She brings back two little plastic cups with champagne in it - not kidding.

The woman starts to drink hers. But I am laughing and holding the plastic cup up to the light and looking at it - rolling the liquid around a little bit.

Then I drink it in one gulp - like a shot of liquor - before the champagne interacts with the plastic !!!

Enjoy and good luck !

At all the casino's I've been too in the UK, food and drink are allowed at the tables (although not specifically ON the tables). This is across any of the games, not just poker.

Usually the waiter/waitress will bring along a little table as mentioned before for your food and drinks.

I've also found in some casinos that if you're actually playing at the tables then soft drinks and occasionally sandwiches are free (at least they used to be a while back in my local casino). Me and my mates would often go and play low-stakes blackjack and sit and eat ham and cheese sandwiches and drink coke/lemonade whilst playing. We only started drinking after we decided to stop playing as the alcohol really affects your judgement after a while.

All that sounds like heaven ...
I've never been to a casino and now I'm very surprised to hear they allow food and drinks at the tables. One could spend an entire day at a casino, if losing money wouldn't play a role for you.

As a complete Shark Slayer
I always bring a tonic/water and lime to the poker table.
looks like im drinking liquor
and for the first few orbits I will play horrible cards aggressively wrong.
While the table may have been a rounders table before I sat down
theyr'e gonna adjust just enough to turn the table into a fish aquarium
where aj is a 3bet lol
they start slowplaying AA trying to get max value EV
by villains playing optimal/adjusting to my initial/false image
is my GTO opening for high EV and encouraging BIG mistakes from the REGS

control and focus are best strengthened when you have none left.
Barry Greenstein would play soo tired
he is the man
he invented multi tabling LIVE MTTs in different casinos simultaneously
driving back and forth to play a bit and drive to the other stack
no joke

There may be a time you are at a house game and drinking is mandatory or everyones drunk already.
Being the drunk that can make the better decisions is a special skillset
